UCF University Writing Center Notes

The writing center serves students on an hourly basis by appointment only. Appointments may be made either on line http://uwc.ucf.edu/  or by phone at 407-882-0076 or 407-823-2197.
In addition, at the Writing Center there is a program called “Editor” that can be used to screen a paper for sentence structure, for example, passive and active voice. The paper must be brought to the UWC on a flash drive during regular hours.
If you have a dissertation, thesis or paper for publication the UWC will recommend a copy editor or put your request out for a student editor.
Barbara Carpenter www.carpenterdoc.com is a copy editor (Technical Editor in Research Park, Graduate Professional Writing Certificate from UCF, Undergraduate degree in Journalism) and charges $20.00 per hour.
