CED Major Grants Development Stimulus Initiative
This Major Grants Development Stimulus Initiative will provide assistance and support to faculty grant proposal projects that have a high likelihood of success. As such, the provision of reassigned time from one course would be an important factor in successful submission of a strong proposal. Funding will support 13 awards for Fall 2012 – Spring 2013. The UCF Office of Research and Commercialization and the College of Education and Human Performance Dean will evaluate the effectiveness of the initiative in May 2014.

TJEEI Funded Projects
TJEEI funds faculty proposals aligned with its mission. Priority will be given to proposals with a focus on exceptional education.
Teaching & Research Projects to provide development resources for tenured and tenure seeking faculty design research studies. This award is for $7,000. 2012 – 2013.

NIH and NSF Seed Research Initiative to help tenured and tenure earning faculty fund seed research studies that are in-line with an open National Institutes of Health (NIH) or National Science Foundation (NSF) funding opportunities (e.g. NIH R03, NSF Early Career). This awards is for $10,000. 2012 – 2013 deadline is Friday, August 31, 2012 at 5:00PM.

Graduate Grant Research Assistance Student Project Award (G2RASP)
This G2RASP awards provide College of Education and Human Performance faculty with additional support needed to complete a grant proposal specific to a full indirect external grant funding announcement, while also providing a graduate student valuable mentorship in the grantsmanship process. Students are selected by faculty members and will receive a monetary award upon completion of their assignment.

Office of Research and Commercialization
Office of Research and Commercialization (ORC) In-House Research Grants
The purpose of this grant program is to initiate new faculty research activities, which will strengthen faculty credentials and make them more competitive for external funding appropriate to their discipline. All proposals must clearly address this objective. Proposals for work related to the applicant's past research must show how the proposed research differs from, and clearly enhances, the faculty member's research agenda. Awards are $7,500. Deadline for receipt by College, Center, or Institute Ranking Committee is usually the first week in October. The College, Center, or instituting Ranking Committee’s deadline to forward to ORC is usually during the first week of November.

Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF)
The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) invites students from all disciplines to participate in independent research and creative projects in collaboration with UCF faculty during the summer. Students will receive $1000 for the 10 hours per week spent working on the research project and additional program requirements.
Undergraduate Student Research Grant
The UCF Undergraduate Student Research Grant encourages undergraduate students from all disciplines to participate in independent research and creative projects in collaboration with UCF faculty. Students can apply for grants up to $500 to support their research project.
