Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

The Counselor Education track in the Education Ph.D. program is designed for those students who wish to pursue careers as counselor educators at the university level and/or to serve as supervisors in schools and/or agencies. Nationally accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP), the program offers both advanced curricular experiences in counseling as well as courses designed to examine the fundamental issues and theory of teaching adults in higher education, research, supervision, and consultation. The doctoral program prepares professionals to become leaders in research, teaching, supervision, and counseling. Nationally recognized faculty work closely with students to offer mentorship and supervision in each of these areas.
