The Florida Educational Research Association (FERA) will be holding its 53rd annual
conference at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida, November 19-21, 2008. We
are looking for nine graduate students to man the registration table.

If you are selected to serve in this capacity, you will:

  1. have your registration fee waived (i.e., you can attend and present at the conference
    for FREE!);
  2. work one three-hour shift during the conference (specific date and time to be
determined in early fall based on the student’s availability and time slots available); and
  3. assist in stuffing tote bags that will be distributed at registration (this will likely be
done in late October or early November and will be done at UCF on the Orlando
    campus).

TO VOLUNTEER: If you are interested in volunteering to assist with the registration
table, please email Dr. Debbie Hahs-Vaughn (dhahs@mail.ucf.edu). Please include the
following in your email: a) your first and last name; b) if known, the date and general
time period that will work with your schedule (again you will be required to assist for
three hours on one of the following dates: Nov. 19, 20, or 21); c) a current email
address and phone number.

Volunteers will be selected on a first-come first-served basis and a wait list will be
maintained in the event openings become available once nine students are selected.

Information on the conference can be found at http://feraonline.org/. Even if you are
not interested nor selected to man the registration desk, you are encouraged to submit
a proposal to the conference. The topics at the conference are very broad and all areas
of research related to education as well as research methodology are acceptable topics.
If you have questions regarding proposal topic, format, or submission, contact:
