Expand your knowledge and learn strategies and interventions for use in the classroom with interactive sessions facilitated by experts in the field of Exceptional Education. ESI is available to current teachers and administrators in public school settings seeking recertification and offers a professional development option to educators and administrators in all settings.  Participation in ESI cannot be applied towards university credit.


ESI SWD Recertification Requirement
Current teachers and administrators in public school settings interested in meeting the 20 hour students with disabilities recertification requirement will attend the two-day institute and complete three online modules on best practices for inclusive education under the mentorship of UCF faculty. A one-day option is available for those who need less than 20 hours to fulfill this requirement.

*Senate Bill 1108 requires current educators to receive 20 hours of professional learning for working with students with disabilities.

ESI SWD Professional Development
This option is designed for educators and administrators in all settings interested in professional development on best teaching practices in working with students with disabilities. A certificate of attendance will be provided.

Registration includes free parking, continental breakfast and lunch.
