Tom Atkinson is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Educational Technology in the College of Education. He received his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Research from Louisiana State University in 1999, master's degree in Educational Technology and bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Central Arkansas. His research interests include interactive learning environments and game systems. Also, Tom is a jazz musician and has performed with symphonies and ensembles in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Kansas City, and Orlando.
