Dr. Miller is the instructor and the Community College Program Coordinator in the Department of Educational Research, Technology and Leadership at the University of Central Florida. She teaches courses in the Community College Specialization area in the College of Education at UCF. Dr. Miller worked at Montgomery College, in Maryland, for over 20 years. Her focus was on curriculum development and state-wide curriculum issues in Maryland's public colleges. She earned a bachelor's in Business Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, a master's in Guidance and Counseling from George Washington University in the District of Columbia, and a Ph.D. in Community College Education from the Virginia Tech.
