Bonnie Swan is an expert in program evaluation and applied social research. She is currently the Director for Program Evaluation and Educational Research Group (PEER) at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Swan has published and presents on topics related to evaluation, and educational research. Recent projects she is involved with were funded by the Department of Education, the National Science Foundation, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Institute of Justice, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and others. She received her Ph.D. in Education and M.Ed. in Mathematics Education from the University of Central Florida, and her undergraduate degree was in Business/Economics. Her research interests in evaluation, mentoring, online learning, teacher‐labor markets, educational equity, and professional development – as well as her experience teaching at the secondary and post-secondary levels – give her a unique perspective as both an educational researcher and an evaluation consultant. She serves as Past President for the Florida Educational Research Association (FERA), President Elect/VP for the National Association of Test Directors (NATD) and as a board member for the Southeast Evaluation Association (SEA). She is also an active member of the American Evaluation Association (AEA), the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the School Science and Mathematics Association (SSMA), and the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA).
