Dr. Stacy Van Horn Honored During 2017 Women’s History Month

The UCF Center for Success of Women Faculty (CSWF) is celebrating Counselor Education Associate Lecturer Dr. Stacy Van Horn’s contributions to our university during UCF Women’s History Month.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degrees in Elementary Education with a specialization in children’s literature and psychology through the University of Florida’s ProTeach program. Dr. Van Horn continued her Gator path by receiving her Ed.S. degree in School Counseling and Guidance and Ph.D. degree in Counselor Education and Supervision.

Dr. Van Horn has been a faculty member in our college’s Counselor Education program for the past 10 years. Prior to her position, she assisted diverse students, teachers, and families in Central Florida as a school counselor with Orange County Public Schools.

She credits her students who have taught her lessons and says she has “learned so much from their personal stories and that has made me a better educator, counselor, and person.”
