Proposals and Registration are Open for the 19th Annual Literacy Symposium


Join us for a day of professional learning during the 19th Annual Literacy Symposium: K-12 Instructional Literacy Interventions on Friday, April 7, 2017.

This year’s focus is on K-12 Instructional Literacy Interventions. Attend workshops and learn about the latest trends in literacy education, including reading interventions for all students, classroom technology, reading and writing, EL and ESE instruction, supporting the needs of readers in the content areas, and other topics.

Keynote speakers include: Dr. Janet Allen, a national literacy expert, Dr. Katherine McKnight from National Louis University, Dr. Joyce Little, a literacy and exceptional education expert on IEPs, and the 2017 Florida Teacher of the Year, Jessica Solano.

The event showcases speakers and projects along with providing educators with relevant and exciting new ways to support students’ literacy. Attendees also have an opportunity to gain knowledge about proven literacy practices and resources while networking with fellow educators from around the state.

Registration is open and proposals are being accepted through Friday, March 17, 2017.
