BUILDING STRONGER MARRIAGES AND FAMILIES IN FLORIDA
The Childrens Bureau (CB) Programs to Strengthen Marriages and Families:
This program, conducted by the Florida Marriage and Family Research Institute (FMFRI) in Orlando, FL, provides research, education and intervention services aimed at strengthening families and marriages. Through research and training, FMRI provides evidence-based practices for service deliveries to couples and their families. Training for counselor certification in marriage and family therapy, at both masters and doctoral levels, is provided. Direct services include: weekend workshops to promote stronger couples and healthier marriages, premarital counseling, and counseling for couples. FMFRI provides information through on-site train-the-trainers workshops, statewide partners conferences, and publications on best practices for improving marriage and couple relationships.
