Convocation

Once every two years, KDP hosts its preeminent international educational conference for professional development. The last Biennial Convocation took place in Orlando at the Rosen Plaza Hotel from Thursday, October 29th - Saturday, October 31st with one of their special guest speakers being Teacher-Astronaut Barbara Morgan! Come to our January Meeting to hear all about it! Special thanks to our members who volunteered and attended this great opportunity.

The next convocation will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 3rd-5th, 2011. For more information please check our website or the national website as the date approaches.

The I Teach Regional Conferences are one-day events designed to meet the unique professional development needs of pre-service and beginning teachers. Through workshops and panel discussion, you can:

• Gain insights and practical tips your professors and principal didn’t tell you
• Share your experiences, concerns, hopes, and frustrations with peers
• Learn creative strategies and useful suggestions for your classroom
  
  Get tools and techniques you can use immediately in your classroom to help make the transition from student to teacher an easy and positive one.
