Teaching and Learning Principles

UCF's Mathematics Education program is designed to enable teacher candidates to take a variety of classes related to the development of secondary aged students as well as a set of mathematics classes. The required curriculum meets or exceeds all recommended standards as stipulated by our accrediting agencies and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Candidates participate in a series of field experiences and internships where they gain practical experience integrating theory and practice while working with secondary students. Upon completion of the program, candidates are well prepared to succeed in the secondary mathematics classroom.

Program Highlights
