Program Evaluation and Educational Research Group (PEER), a service center, offers high quality evaluation and research services for educational programs, grants, and community based organizations. PEER is located in the College of Education and Human Performance at the University of Central Florida. Current involvement for PEER is close to $20 million for educational programs and educational research. Recent evaluation efforts include projects sponsored by the Florida and the U.S. Department of Education, the National Institute of Justice, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Florida Virtual School, the Blue Foundation for a Healthy Florida, Helios Foundation, and others.
PEER has strong experience in the planning, directing, and conducting evaluation and needs assessment; development of surveys and test assessment; producing training materials; and the analysis of outcome measures, etc. PEER staff and associated faculty and graduate research assistants from within the College of Education as well as from other program areas, have formal academic training and years of experience in research design, evaluation, and assessment. We also provide internships and authentic research experiences for graduate students. The group spans a wide range of backgrounds, including elementary and secondary mathematics, science and reading, exceptional education, instructional technology, and evaluation and educational research (both qualitative and quantitative).
