Research & Centers

The College of Education and Human Performance actively engages in numerous, exciting research initiatives. Scholars in the College conduct outstanding research in areas such exceptional education, teacher preparation, sports and exercise sciences, and marriage and family. Their research, supported by various funding agencies and organizations, is carried out in our Educational and Human Sciences Department; Child, Family, and Community Sciences Department; School of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership; and our centers and institutes. The following units and resources support the College’s research efforts.

  • Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD)
    The Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD) is a support service for the College of Education and Human Performance in the area of contracts and grants as well as non-funded research.

  • Centers & Institutes
    The College has Centers & Institutes that conduct, coordinate, and support research, teaching, and service within and outside of the UCF community.

  • External Funding Resources
    To help support grantsmanship efforts within the College, External Funding Resources are available to aid in the identification of funding opportunities, the grant writing process, and mentorship support.

  • Internal (UCF) Funding Resources
    To help support research at the University of Central Florida, Internal (UCF) Funding Resources are available to aid in the collection of research data, particularly pilot data valuable to externally funded research grants. Resources are available for faculty and students.
  • Program Evaluation and Educational Research Group (PEER)
    The Program Evaluation and Educational Research Group (PEER) is a service center that offers high quality evaluation and research services for educational programs, grants, and community based organizations.

  • Research Committee
    The Research Committee works to expand the score and impact of research and scholarship activities within the College of Education and Human Performance.

  • Undergraduate and Graduate Research Resources
    Undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Education and Human Performance can expand their academic experiences through engagement in high quality research.
