The State of Florida has created Test Information Guides for all of the FTCE content tests, including one for the Social Sciences grade levels 6-12. This guide is available here for the price of $5.62. It should be noted, however, that you are essentially getting what you pay for as the guide is quite simplistic.
Other “unofficial” guides have been created. The most popular and readily available of these guides is the XAM FTCE study guide for the Social Sciences 6-12, by Sharon Wynne. If you wish to purchase this guide, Amazon.com has the best prices (direct link to the book on Amazon). It should be noted, however, that this particular guide contains numerous grammatical errors and some factual errors (as reported by myself and those who reviewed the book on Amazon.com).
Before spending any money on any type of study guide for the exam, check the UCF Library or the UCF Curriculum and Materials Center to see if either of these venues carries the study guide for which you are looking.
