Computing and Statistical Technology Laboratory in Education (CASTLE)

CASTLE is a computer lab equipped with various quantitative and qualitative software packages.  The lab is available to students and faculty.  For lab instructor information and lab hours, visit the CASTLE website.

Curriculum Materials Center

The Curriculum Materials Center is a library that provides representative PreK-12th grade materials for preview, analysis, and circulation to the students, faculty, and staff of UCF and the Florida community at large.  The CMC plays a unique role in empowering learners with information literacy skills, providing an open space for creativity and collaboration, and shaping superior future educators.

ESOL

English Language Learners (ELL) are the fastest growing demographic in our Pre-K through 12 schools, and teachers who help them meet their unique linguistic and content area needs are in great demand. Learn about the various ESOL Education programs the college has to offer

FTCE Test Prep

To be certified as a teacher in the state of Florida, candidates are required to pass a series of three tests. This group of tests is called the Florida Teacher Certification Exams (FTCE). Visit the FTCE Test Prep to learn more about the FTCE before attempting to pass this series of exams.

Graduate Assistantships and Fellowships

The College of Education and Human Performance offers academic year assistantships and fellowships as a means for financial assistance.

KnightED Talks

KnightED Talks is the UCF College of Education and Human Performance Professional Learning for Teacher Candidates initiative that supplements the teacher preparation provided by coursework and field experiences.  It enhances the quality of UCF’s initial teacher certification program, contributing to the development of highly credentialed teacher education graduates, and increasing their marketability in today’s competitive job market.

LiveText Support

LiveText™ will be an important part of your success within your program. Students in teacher or school preparation programs are required to demonstrate that they have met the standards associated with their specific program. Examples of these standards are Florida Educator Accomplished Practices, Reading Endorsement, and/or ESOL Endorsement. Students complete specific assignments which are uploaded in LiveText™. Faculty then assess these assignments within LiveText™.

TEACH Grant

TEACH Grant Graduate | TEACH GrantUndergraduate
Congress created the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program that provides grants of up to $4,000 per year to students who will commit to teach in designated high need fields in a public or private elementary or secondary school that serves students from low-income families.
