Fall and Spring Reading Clinic

Spring registration opens on Nov. 15

Undergraduate Education students mentor and develop K-6 students' reading and writing skills during the Fall and Spring Reading Clinic. The final session includes a parent celebration demonstrating family literacy activities.

Middle School Program

REGISTER FOR FALL NOW

UCF Adolescent Reading Lab
UCF College of Education & Human Performance Graduate students in Reading Education will mentor and develop 6th-8th-grade students' reading skills during this Adolescent Reading Lab (ARL) project. An emphasis of this program is helping students read and comprehend informational texts and improve their reading skills in the content areas. The final session includes a parent celebration with students demonstrating what they learned from the UCF ARL experience and sharing family literacy activities to further support students’ reading skills.

*No class November 22, 2017

Time: 4:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Your K-5 student is paired  with an undergraduate education student for individualized support in developing their reading, writing, and thinking abilities.

Dates: Tuesdays, September 5, 2017-November 14, 2017 (no class 10/31/17 - Halloween)

Time: 5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. 
UCF South Lake Campus - Clermont

Cost: $75

***Only for UCF South Lake Campus Reading Clinic***
Registration is not transferable to the UCF main campus Reading Clinic.

Summer Reading Programs

AT UCF MAIN CAMPUS

Summer Daily Three-Week Reading Clinic
Undergraduate Education students mentor and develop K-6 students' reading and writing skills during the Fall and Spring Reading Clinic. The final session includes a parent celebration demonstrating family literacy activities.

Summer Weekly Digital Storytelling Camp
Students in grades K-6 combine literacy, visual arts, and technology while embarking on reading adventures during the Digital Storytelling Camp. Two separate weekly sessions are available. The final session includes a parent celebration where students showcase their digital stories.

AT SOUTHLAKE CAMPUS

UCF South Lake Summer Reading and Storytelling Camp
Reading can be FUN! Students will explore different genres and engage in fun, interactive activities with literature!
